Plot summary
Ruth works as a nursing assistant and comes home after a bad day to find her house broken into. She tells Detective William Bendix that medication, a laptop and her grandmother's silverware were taken from her; he scolds her for leaving the door unlocked. Ruth asks the neighbors whether they noticed anything, and one of them, Tony, is furious that someone would rob a neighbor. A mobile app then shows her where her laptop is, but the police still refuse to act, so she asks Tony for his help. At the address the app points to, Ruth pressures the man who lives there into giving the laptop back. He claims he bought it from a fence who runs a resale shop.
