Plot summary
Park Dong-won and his family move into a condominium he bought after 11 years of labor. They invite friends and colleagues to a housewarming party. That night, heavy rain opens a sinkhole, and the building drops with the guests inside. Trapped far below ground are Dong-won; his neighbor Jung Man-soo, who works several part-time jobs to raise his son alone; and Kim Seung-hyun, Dong-won's colleague from the company. Rain starts falling again and water begins to fill the hole. On the surface, the residents' families and emergency services try to reach the people below, while those in the dark have a limited amount of time to find a way out.
