Plot summary
A CalArts scholarship is the goal that drives Dallas Bryan after she enrolls at a Texas high school. She has her sights on the dance program that her late mother once attended. Her plans run into trouble when Drayton Lahey appears. He is the football team's star quarterback, outwardly cocky but privately carrying grief. The two do not get along at first, and their ambitions pull them in different directions. As they spend time together, they begin to understand what the other is dealing with. Dallas and Drayton then have to decide whether a romance can fit with the futures they are working toward.
