Plot summary
Martin tries out for a place as guitarist in Lindsay Roberts's band and does not get it, and on the same day he loses his job. Martin wants the guitar place, and he wants Lindsay as well. A voodoo priestess promises him fame, money and women if he swears obedience to her, and he takes the deal. He becomes a rock star, and the price is his soul: to go on living he must consume the souls of other people. Lindsay manages the rising band, with concerts, contracts and private meetings with Martin, and the band's recent concerts have been marred by brutal killings that remain unsolved.
