Plot summary
Linda Liddle, a corporate strategist, has waited on a promotion she believes is hers. When Bradley Preston takes over as CEO, he gives the job to Donovan instead and intends to leave her in a dead-end role. Linda confronts him, and Bradley, saying he is impressed by her nerve, invites her along on a business trip to Bangkok to help close a merger. On the flight, Donovan plays her old Survivor audition tape for the other executives. A storm hits the plane, it loses an engine and goes down, and Linda and Bradley are the only survivors, stranded on an island.

- Columbia Pictures, which is owned by Sony Pictures, initially wanted Send Help to be a streaming exclusive, but director Sam Raimi turned that down because he wanted the film to be released in theaters instead.
- Sam Raimi had directed Rachel McAdams in the Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) and felt she was underutilized there, so he cast her as Linda Liddle in Send Help to showcase her talent in another project.
- Audio of Survivor host Jeff Probst is used in Send Help, and although there were plans for him to cameo as himself, he was forced to decline the appearance because of scheduling conflicts.
