Plot summary
Selena Gomez is a singer and actress who has spent years in the public eye. She becomes a major star, but just as her career reaches a new high, an unexpected turn sends her into a dark period. The documentary follows her over a six-year period that begins around 2015. During that time, she deals with physical and mental health struggles. She receives a diagnosis of lupus and receives a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. The film captures those challenges in a raw and intimate way, showing her effort to move toward a new light.
