Biography
Yutte Stensgaard is a Danish actress who moved from her native Thisted, Jutland to the United Kingdom in 1963 and began her screen career a few years later in the film The Girl with a Pistol (1968). She built up television work through the late 1960s and early 1970s, with parts in The Saint, Doctor in the House, where she played the recurring Helga, On the Buses, The Persuaders! and Dead of Night. Her film credits include the Bulldog Drummond entry Some Girls Do (1969), Scream and Scream Again (1970) and Doctor in Trouble (1970). She is best known, however, for starring as the vampire Carmilla in Hammer's Lust for a Vampire (1971), the sequel to The Vampire Lovers. Later work included pantomime, the stage farce Boeing-Boeing and a stint as hostess on the game show The Golden Shot.
