Plot summary
A family of four Sasquatch lives in the wilderness of Northern California: the alpha male, his mate, her child, and another grown male. In spring the alpha and the female mate while the other two watch, and the group finds berries to eat. Their days go to exploring the forest and to a ritual in which they strike tree trunks with branches and call out, hoping others of their kind will answer. The group shelters in a structure of branches and sticks, and the four may be the last of their kind. The year turns and the landscape around them keeps changing.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Sasquatch Sunset (2024)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Jesse Eisenberg brought in mime coach Lorin Eric Salm, with whom he had trained to play Marcel Marceau in Resistance, to run "Sasquatch School" or "Ape Camp". Salm worked with the cast to build a consistent Sasquatch walk and non-verbal communication so all the creatures would appear to be the same species.
- In April 2024, Nathan Zellner walked around Central Park in the full sasquatch suit, an act he called a "social experiment" rather than a publicity stunt.
