Plot summary
Saravana brings a frightened girl named Sadhana to his family home, where his sister Divya's wedding is being prepared, and introduces her only as a friend. Everyone wonders what she is to him. His uncle Purushothaman, who wants Saravana to marry his daughter, confronts her, and an argument follows. At a restaurant a gang confronts the pair, and Saravana chases and thrashes the men. When he returns, Sadhana is gone. His father Bhoopathi forces him to explain who she is, and Saravana tells his past: how he fell for his college friend Krishna's sister Sadhana after seeing her on a video tape, and how he traveled with Krishna to the family's village near Tirunelveli, where two rival groups are at war.
