Plot summary
In feudal Japan, a young prince is sent away from his village to be trained as a samurai warrior. The shapeshifter Aku has wreaked havoc in the village, and the prince is meant to grow strong enough to return one day and fight him. His skills honed, the warrior tries to journey home, but he is cast into a distant future instead. There, the locals give the stranger the name Jack, and they help him on his path homeward. That future is ruled by Aku, the enemy he set out to destroy, and Jack searches for a way back to his own era.
