Four Samoan friends in Auckland, Michael, Albert, Stanley and Sefa, are known for their behavior at family weddings. Michael has slept with a bridesmaid in the wedding limousine, Albert has dropped a bride from his shoulder, Sefa has passed out in a wedding cake and Stanley has set a reception hall on fire. The minister of their church responds by banning all four from the wedding of Michael's brother Sione, where Michael was to be best man. Albert proposes bringing a date, and the minister agrees to let them attend if each has a serious relationship with his date; otherwise Eugene, the groom whose reception hall burned, will block them.
