Plot summary
On Christmas Eve, Clive drops his daughter Jodie at the cul-de-sac house of her mother Beth, where she is to spend the holiday. Jodie does not get on with Beth, and when she finds her with Kieran she storms out and crosses the street to her friend Leanne's. Beth argues with Leanne's mother Pam, who refuses to let her in. A team of soldiers arrives and orders everyone indoors, and Mr Sharma comes out of his house covered in blood and holding a knife. Inside, Beth and Kieran hear gunfire, and a television report says a shipping container has washed up on a nearby beach before the power cuts out.
