Getting ready for a role
Richardson's role as Bridget in The Gilded Age was tailored to her: she originally auditioned for a Swedish character, but the producers made the character Irish because she could only do that accent.
First role
Richardson was 11 when she made her Broadway debut in 2012, appearing in the second revival of Annie at the Palace Theatre in New York City. She took over from Lilla Crawford and shared the part with Sadie Sink.
A role that slipped away
Richardson joined the 2016 MCC Theater production of Noah Haidle's play Smokefall as Beauty after replacing Julia Garner, who dropped out during rehearsals because of scheduling conflicts.
Behind the camera
Richardson appeared in two short films after Rise, Shame and Danni and Alyssa. She wrote both of them and also directed Shame.
