Peter Kent

Biography

Peter Kent is a stunt performer from North Vancouver, British Columbia. He did Shakespeare with local theater groups and worked as a sound engineer for Canadian bands before moving to Los Angeles in 1984 to pursue film work. James Cameron took him under his wing to double Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminator (1984). That led to work with Schwarzenegger on 14 films across 13 years, from The Terminator to Jingle All the Way (1996). Kent also served as a dialogue coach and studied with Los Angeles drama groups; his longtime coach was Zina Provendie, a former head of MGM's drama department. In June 2009, he was named to the Hollywood Stuntman's Hall of Fame.
