Natasha Rothwell
Biography
Natasha Rothwell is an American actress, writer, and producer who was born in Wichita, Kansas, and moved frequently as a child because of her father's Air Force career before studying theater at the University of Maryland. She began by teaching English in Japan and performing at the Tokyo Comedy Store, then returned to the United States, where she taught high school theater while doing comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade and writing for Saturday Night Live during the 2014 to 2015 season. Her breakthrough came in 2016 as Kelli Prenny on Insecure, a role she also helped write and produce, and she won a 2022 NAACP Image Award for it. She appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), Like a Boss (2020), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), Wonka (2023), and Wish (2023), and drew Emmy nominations as Belinda on The White Lotus. In 2024 she co-created and starred in How to Die Alone.
