Max Alexander

Max Alexander was a stand-up comedian and actor from the United States who appeared often on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. He was born on the East Coast in 1953 and, in his late twenties, relocated to Los Angeles. Alongside his stand-up work, he took supporting roles on sitcoms such as Full House and other series such as Matlock. On screen he played supporting parts with performers such as Jason Segel, Jim Carrey, Steve Martin and Tom Hanks, with credits including Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Roxanne (1987) and Punchline (1988). Trainwreck (2015) was his last film. His television work also took in the fifth volume of Comedy Central's Best of the Improv (2003), Comedy Club Greats with Jerry Seinfeld (2007), and the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. He performed in Las Vegas, sometimes with Tom Jones. His comedy focused on his large size and his weight, and he was known for hitching his pants up to his chest.
