Marli Siu
Biography
Marli Siu is a Scottish actress who grew up in Forres in Moray, Scotland, after early years on Lamma Island in Hong Kong. She trained through a youth theater group in Elgin and the National Youth Theatre, and studied acting and English literature at Edinburgh Napier University. Her early screen work included the 2015 short Scoring, which brought an Underwire Film Festival nomination, while her stage credits took in Dead Letter Office and Much Ado About Nothing, along with a commendation at the Ian Charleson Awards. She played Lisa in the zombie musical Anna and the Apocalypse (2018) and went on to star in Our Ladies (2019) and Run (2020), winning a Scottish BAFTA for Run. On television she appeared in Alex Rider from 2020 to 2024 and in Everything I Know About Love.

In 2017, Siu took on her first major movie part, playing Lisa in the zombie musical Anna and the Apocalypse, which John McPhail directed. She also performed the song It's That Time of Year in it.

Behind the camera
