Lane Bradford
Biography
Lane Bradford was an American actor whose screen career ran from 1940 to 1973 and included more than 250 films and television appearances, mostly supporting tough-guy parts in Westerns but also in contemporary crime dramas. He was born in Yonkers in 1922. His stage credits included Desperadoes' Outpost (1952), The Great Sioux Uprising (1953) and Apache Warrior (1957). On television he was a frequent guest actor across Western series of the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s, among them The Lone Ranger, Cheyenne, Wagon Train, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Rawhide, Colt .45 and Death Valley Days, and he played Sequoyah and the California pioneer Jim Savage in two episodes of Death Valley Days. He also appeared in crime dramas such as Dragnet, Perry Mason, The Fugitive and Hawaii Five-O. His last television part was in a 1973 episode of Cannon, and he died later that year.
