Kynaston Reeves
Biography
Kynaston Reeves was an English character actor, born in London in 1893 and died in 1971, who worked extensively in film and television. He started making films in 1931 with a small role in Many Waters and moved into supporting roles, becoming known for playing figures of authority, among them judges, doctors, professors, and clergymen. His films included Fiend Without a Face (1958) and Carry On Regardless (1961). On television he played Henry Quelch in Billy Bunter of Greyfriars School, Nicholas Forsyte in The Forsyte Saga, and roles in The Avengers and The Prisoner. He also starred on Broadway as Thomas Crawford in The Affair in 1962. He kept acting into 1970, when he made his last film, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, and his final television appearance.
