Biography

Jeff East is an American retired actor who started his professional career at fourteen. He became known for playing Huckleberry Finn in the United Artists films Tom Sawyer (1973) and Huckleberry Finn (1974), and for his teenage Clark Kent in Richard Donner's Superman (1978), though his dialogue in that film was dubbed over by Christopher Reeve without East knowing while it was being made. His other features include Stranger in Our House (1978), Deadly Blessing (1981), Up the Creek (1984) and Pumpkinhead (1988), along with Klondike Fever, Mary and Joseph: A Story of Faith, Dream West, Another Chance and Deadly Exposure. He also starred in the television film The Day After (1983), and he made guest appearances on MASH, Otherworld and Shades of L.A.
