Harry Landers

Harry Landers was an American character actor who began his career at the Warner Bros. studio in the mid-1940s, and an encounter with Bette Davis led to his Screen Actors Guild membership and an acting career. Born in New York City in 1921 and educated in Brooklyn, he served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. On Broadway he acted in A Flag is Born (1948) and Billy Budd, and he also worked in summer stock. His film roles included Go Go in The Wild One (1953), a part in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1954), and multiple roles in Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments (1956). On television he was a regular as Dr. Ted Hoffman on Ben Casey, reprised the role in The Return of Ben Casey (1988), and appeared in Perry Mason, Combat!, and the final Star Trek episode in 1969. He was also a spokesman for Taster's Choice coffee in 1970s commercials.
