Biography
Hal Sparks is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and musician who has also worked as a television host. He was born in Cincinnati and grew up in Peaks Mill, Kentucky. He began performing stand-up at 15 and won the title Chicago's Funniest Teenager at 17. His screen debut came in the 1987 television movie Frog, and he later hosted Talk Soup in 1999. He is known for playing Michael Novotny on Queer as Folk and Donald Davenport in Lab Rats, and for voicing Tak in the Tak and the Power of Juju series and video games. His film work includes Dude, Where's My Car? (2000), Lightning Bug (2004), and Extract (2009). He also sings and plays guitar in the rock band Zero 1, which released a self-titled debut album in 2006.
