Gary Bullock

Biography

Gary Bullock was an American actor who took up performing later in life, having first worked as a computer programmer at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and at the Millstone Radar site in New England. Born in 1941 and raised in Elizabethton, Tennessee, by a father who loved movies, he was fascinated by acting from boyhood but spent years in computing before abandoning that path. He appeared on stage, including in a production of The Crucible, and later recorded audiobooks and narrated a documentary about the 325th Fighter Group of World War 2, known as The Checkertails. He wrote two screenplays, Elsewhen, a science fiction romance, and Ridge Runner, a Civil War story, and worked on a novelization of Elsewhen. He died in 2022.
