Plot summary
Hannah, who was born in the Gatlin cult that the prophet Isaac led, travels to the Nebraska town to search for her birth mother. Along the way a street preacher, Zachariah, delivers a Bible passage that foretells her life. Her car then crashes in a cornfield, and the sheriff, Cora, brings her to the hospital, where Dr. Michaels examines her. There she discovers that Isaac, whose death everyone had assumed, has spent nineteen years in a coma. A truck later runs her toward the shoulder of the road, and at a motel she meets Morgan and Matt, a couple. The next day onlookers surround her car, and Isaac comes out of his coma, intending to complete a prophecy.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Children of the Corn 666: Isaac's Return (1999)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- John Franklin, who played Isaac in the original Children of the Corn, had wanted to make a sequel with writing partner Tim Sulka since that 1984 film; when his acting manager got them a meeting with Dimension Films, the executives answered their pitch for Isaac's Return with "Great! We're running out of ideas!"
- The film is set in rural Nebraska but was shot around two small cornfields in the Los Angeles area, where the production crew used trick photography to give the locations a Nebraskan look.
- Children of the Corn 666: Isaac's Return was the first entry in the series to feature John Franklin reprising his role as Isaac, who had not appeared in the franchise since the first film, and the first of the straight-to-video sequels with a narrative connection to the original.
- To give the sixth Children of the Corn film a more grounded feel and set it apart from the earlier entries, director Kari Skogland avoided CGI and post-production effects work, choosing in-camera effects instead.
