Frank Wolff
Biography
Frank Wolff was an American actor who began in Roger Corman productions before building most of his career in Europe. Born in San Francisco, he studied acting and stagecraft at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he wrote and directed plays. He had bit parts in Corman's I Mobster and The Wasp Woman (1959), then took co-lead billing in Beast from Haunted Cave (1959) and Ski Troop Attack (1960). After traveling to Greece for Atlas, he remained in Europe on Corman's advice and became a busy character actor in more than fifty mostly Italian films, among them Elia Kazan's America America (1963), a Best Picture nominee, and the Spaghetti Westerns Once Upon a Time in the West (1968), The Great Silence (1968), God Forgives... I Don't! (1967) and One Dollar Too Many (1968). He also appeared in British television series such as The Saint and The Baron.
