Dennis Fimple

Dennis Fimple was an American actor who was born in Taft, California, and studied drama at San Jose State University. He worked steadily in television, with parts in Here Come the Brides, Petticoat Junction, Matt Houston, Centennial, Simon and Simon, Highway to Heaven, Sledge Hammer!, Knight Rider, Quantum Leap and ER. The part he was probably best known for was Kyle Murtry, a none-too-bright member of the Devil's Hole Gang, which he played in seven episodes of the western comedy Alias Smith and Jones. His films included Truck Stop Women (1974), The Apple Dumpling Gang (1975), Stay Hungry (1976), King Kong (1976) and Maverick (1994), and he shared the lead in Creature from Black Lake (1976). From 1993 to 1994 he played Garral in seven episodes of Harts of the West, and his last role was Grandpa Hugo in House of 1000 Corpses (2003). He died in 2002.
