David Horovitch
Biography
David Horovitch is an English actor, born in London and trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, who has worked for decades in British television, film and theater. He is known for the role of Inspector Slack in the BBC's Miss Marple adaptations, first seen in The Body in the Library in 1984, and he played the title character in the detective series Bognor from 1981 to 1982. His films include Sergeant Maskell in An Unsuitable Job for a Woman (1982), a French scientist in The Dirty Dozen: The Deadly Mission (1987), Dr. Pavlov in 102 Dalmatians (2000), Dr. Price in Mike Leigh's Mr. Turner (2014) and Cardinal Conroy in The Nun II (2023). He has also played Handel and Mr. Hardcastle on stage, appeared as Grand Maester Mellos in House of the Dragon and recorded many audiobooks.
