Craig Hill
Biography
Craig Hill was an American actor from Los Angeles whose career took him from American studio films into European cinema. He was educated there, joined the United States Navy, and began acting as a contract player at 20th Century Fox, starting with Cheaper by the Dozen. John Ford gave him a role in What Price Glory, Sam Fuller used him in Fixed Bayonets! (1951), and he had a key part opposite Kirk Douglas in the crime drama Detective Story (1951). At Universal he co-starred in The Black Shield of Falworth (1954) and also worked in American television. From 1957 to 1960 he played P.T. Moore in the Desilu series Whirlybirds, the part he was best known for. He later moved to Spain, where Spaghetti Westerns made him a lead, starting with Hands of a Gunfighter (1965), and he starred in Euro horror films including The Bloodstained Shadow (1978).
