Cleve Hall
Biography
Cleve Hall was an American special effects and make-up artist who also acted and starred in the Syfy reality show Monster Man. Born in Florida in 1959, he began his effects career on the 1981 slasher movie Nightmare, which was made in Florida near where he was living. Even as digital effects grew more common in the 1990s, he kept working with physical effects, and his efforts on Yo Gabba Gabba! earned him an Emmy nomination. He also built props for Kiss, Insane Clown Posse and Alice Cooper. From the mid-1980s onward he acted in many films, usually as psychotic killers, and he won a Best Killer Award at the 2013 Shockfest Film Festival for playing Elizabeth Short's murderer in Black Dahlia Haunting. He also played keyboards with punk and death rock acts including Mad Love and Exquisite Corpse, and with Urn.
