Biography

Cathryn Bradshaw is an English actress who studied at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 1987. Raised in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, she began on television in 1988 with a part in The Storyteller. A year later came work on Inspector Morse and the musical comedy Bert Rigby, You're a Fool (1989). She is known for playing Melanie in the 1990 BBC drama Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, and she also had four episodes in Chancer. Her stage work includes a National Theatre production of War and Peace in 1996, and she acted with the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1997 to 1999. Later screen credits include The Mother (2003), Blackpool in 2004, and two 2006 films, Venus and Like Minds, plus Suburban Shootout, Down to Earth, Midsomer Murders and Lead Balloon.
