Butch Patrick
Biography
Butch Patrick is an American actor and musician who started working professionally at seven, after a talent agent spotted him and he moved into television commercials and guest spots. He made his feature debut in 1961 in The Two Little Bears, then appeared across many series before landing the role he is best known for, Eddie Munster, the child werewolf on the CBS comedy The Munsters, which he played for 70 episodes from 1964 to 1966 and again in the film Munster, Go Home! (1966). He later starred as Mark on the Saturday morning children's program Lidsville from 1971 to 1973 and played Milo in The Phantom Tollbooth (1970). After stepping back from acting in 1975 he learned bass guitar and recorded Whatever Happened to Eddie? in 1983, and he has since returned for occasional film and television cameos.

Big break
In 1964, while he lived in Geneseo, Illinois, Patrick was chosen from hundreds of boys to play Eddie Munster, the child werewolf, on the CBS series The Munsters. Happy Derman, a child actor, had played Eddie in the pilot episode.
Beyond film
In 1983, Patrick recorded "Whatever Happened to Eddie?" as Eddie and the Monsters, using the Munsters theme's melody. The song tells of his life as a Munster, and Rocshire Records put out the single.
