Biography

Angela Cartwright is an English actress who started in films as a small child and became familiar to television viewers in two long-running series. She was born in Altrincham, Cheshire, and her family moved to the United States by way of Canada when she was a year old. At three she appeared in Somebody Up There Likes Me, and in Something of Value (1957) she acted alongside Rock Hudson and Sidney Poitier. She spent seven seasons as Linda Williams on The Danny Thomas Show, then played Penny Robinson in Lost in Space from 1965 to 1968. On the big screen she appeared in The Sound of Music (1965) as Brigitta von Trapp and in Beyond the Poseidon Adventure (1979), directed by Irwin Allen, and she had a role in High School U.S.A. (1983). Later she made a cameo in the 1998 feature Lost in Space and has published art and collage books, among them Styling the Stars.
