Alexandra Powers

Born in New York City, Alexandra Powers is a former American actress. She grew up around television and acting, since her mother wrote for series like Fantasy Island and Charlie's Angels and her father taught acting. After deciding to act at age six, Powers appeared in film and television roles, including Dead Poets Society (1989), Cast a Deadly Spell (1991), and Rising Sun (1993); in Rising Sun she played a prostitute who tried to seduce Wesley Snipes's character. Powers also had a recurring part on L.A. Law, the NBC legal drama, and she played Dusty Brown in the miniseries A Matter of Justice. For the NBC program Tonya and Nancy, she took ice-skating instruction from Dody Teachman, the former coach of Tonya Harding, and The Orlando Sentinel said she gave a convincing performance.
