Alan Dexter

Alan Dexter was an American actor who worked in film, theater and television. He was born in Oklahoma and got his start in 1943 with an uncredited part in This Is the Army. He went on to guest appearances in a long list of television programs, among them Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone, The Fugitive, Get Smart, The Andy Griffith Show and Gunsmoke, and he played Frank Ferguson on the soap opera Days of Our Lives from 1965 to 1966. His film work included It Came from Outer Space (1953), Down Three Dark Streets (1954), The Enemy Below (1957) and I Married a Monster from Outer Space (1958), in which he was Sam Benson. He also appeared as Joe in The Brass Bottle (1964) and as Parson in Paint Your Wagon (1969). Dexter died in 1983.
