Biography

Adelaide Kane is an Australian actress and model who first gained recognition for playing Lolly Allen on the soap opera Neighbours and Tenaya 7 in Power Rangers RPM. Born in Claremont, Western Australia, she joined Neighbours in 2006 after entering a Dolly magazine competition and was nominated for a Logie Award in the Most Popular New Female Talent category in 2008. She later starred as Mary, Queen of Scots, in the CW drama Reign, played Cora Hale on Teen Wolf, and appeared as Drizella on Once Upon a Time. Her film work includes Secrets of the Mountain (2010), Goats (2012), The Purge (2013), The Devil's Hand (2014), Uncanny Annie (2019), and Cosmic Sin (2021). She has also voiced Mala in Dragons: Race to the Edge and has played Dr. Jules Millin on Grey's Anatomy.

    In August 2006, Kane entered a Dolly magazine competition and was chosen for the cast of Neighbours as Lolly Allen, with a three-month contract. Her friends persuaded her to enter, though she doubted she would get the part.

    Kane originally auditioned for Alycia Debnam-Carey's part in The Devil's Hand, but the producers felt she was wrong for it and gave her the role of Ruth instead, which suited her personality better.
