Plot summary
Getting into medical school is what drives Lilly Springer, who works as an EMT and paramedic. A family that paid for a hospital wing moved its own child ahead of her on the list. Jeff Alexander has his parents' money and no direction of his own. He wants Lilly to see another side of him, and her refusal does not sit well with him. He spends that money on a seat riding along in her ambulance, expecting the time together to lead to a date. Lilly has no interest in Jeff, in his sense of entitlement or in his lack of direction.
