Plot summary
Kim, about to start college, rents an apartment with her best friend, Izzy. Kim's parents object because of Izzy's reputation and her mother's death from a drug overdose, and warn they will cut off contact. Kim moves in anyway. Their landlord, Ronan, tours them through the building and gives two rules: the stained glass window must not be damaged, and the basement is off limits. The window shows medieval knights killing one another. A hole in Kim's wall will not stay covered; the mirror she hangs over it keeps tilting and falling.
