Plot summary
Across two nights in September 2023, Ghost closed the North American run of the Re-Imperatour at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Attendees watched under a strict no-phone policy meant to stop recordings and flash photography. Threaded through the concert footage is a story taken from the fictional lore the band has built around itself. Its central figure is Papa Emeritus IV, the papal persona who fronts Ghost and promotes a Satanic ministry. During the show he keeps going backstage to visit Sister Imperator and to talk with the spirit of Papa Nihil, presented as the band's frontman in the 1960s.

- Ghost frontman Tobias Forge said the film grew out of a question from Loma Vista Recordings CEO Tom Whalley, who asked what the band's story was when they signed. Forge replied that if Whalley wanted a story, he could come up with one.
