Plot summary
Cora Hamilton models in New York, where the work has become too constraining for her. Her mother, Sofia, is working to land her a contract with a well-known agency. At a photoshoot, Cora suggests changes to an outfit she is wearing. Fairret, the director, turns her ideas down, and she leaves in an emotional state. A video of Cora falling down the stairs in a disheveled state goes viral and humiliates her. The negative attention threatens the careers of both mother and daughter. A birthday card from Aunt Margot, not seen since Cora's childhood, leads her to Australia.
