Plot summary
In 1991 in Mangalore, the gangster Dayanand Bare holds a birthday party for his son Bichu, with Bheera, another of his sons, present. Bichu tries to kiss a dancer, Nadiya, and her partner Ali steps in and strikes him. Dayanand sends his men after the couple, so Ali and Nadiya run to Kannur, where Ali hopes his cousin Shajahan will help them. Shajahan is an actor preparing to play a hunter in the film Vetamrugam and has joined a rifle club at Sulthan Bathery to study the part. The club is run by Kuzhiveli Lonappan with Avaran as secretary, and Avaran's father, Kaduvachalil Skariya, was one of its founders. Ali and Nadiya reach the club, and the members take them in. Bheera follows them there.
