Plot summary
Muthalakotta, a village in Palakkad, is recovering from the 2018 floods through farming ventures that brought the families self-sufficiency. Four young men and an elderly man who arrived during the flood and helped them stay on, take over much of the farming from the villagers and open an ashram teaching yoga and spiritual practices. A new state mandate requires empty, unused land to be turned into farmland, so the villagers and the revenue officer Anjali ask Edathala Mathai, the village's richest man, for his 18 acres. Mathai, who wants to start a township there, leases the plot to Neyyattinkara Gopan, a real estate tycoon.
