Plot summary

North of Bala Murghab in Afghanistan, a Spanish medical helicopter supporting American troops and a United Nations force under Spanish command sets down behind Taliban lines after a hard landing wrecks the rotor of the Super Puma. The crew and the wounded it was carrying are stranded, and Taliban fighters spot the aircraft on the ground. The Spanish army has one night to organize their recovery, and the mission widens when the order comes to bring out the wrecked helicopter as well. Through the night, Taliban fighters gather in growing numbers around the position while the army assembles the rescue force.
