Plot summary
Sakuta Azusagawa is in his second year of high school and studies for university entrance exams. Mai Sakurajima is a third-year, so their time together before graduation is short. His sister Kaede is slowly going outdoors again and has returned to school. In a meeting with her school counselor about where to attend high school, Kaede says she wants to go to Sakuta's school. The counselor notes her absences and says an online-based high school may be better for her. Kaede retreats to her room, and Sakuta and their father weigh what would suit her.
