Plot summary
Louis Pothen is a divorce lawyer who also appears as a film critic on a live television channel's debates. His wife, Vasuki Iyer, performs Kathakali, and their school-going daughter Chintha lives with them in a city highrise, away from their parents because their marriage crossed religious lines. One day, while Louis and Chintha visit his mother, Vasuki goes up to the terrace to collect items for a performance. Her neighbor Aryan makes remarks that anger her, and when she tries to leave, he and his friend Sudeep grab her and rape her. Vasuki tells nobody about what happened there. She goes into shock, turns irritable and withdrawn, and neglects the work she used to do at home.
