Plot summary
In Boston, a job takes assassin Mary Goodwin to the apartment of Marcus Miller, a bookie, whom she shoots. Before leaving, she spots Marcus's young son Danny in another room, playing video games and unaware of her, and walks out with the guilt of it. A year on, Danny is on his own, running errands for a drug dealer called Uncle, and Mary has been watching him from a distance. A delivery to Jerome goes wrong: Danny takes more money than he is owed, buys food, and hands the rest to Uncle, who beats him for the missing cash. Danny naps on a bench, gives chase when a thief swipes his bag, and faints. Mary finds him.
