Post Mortem (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

A German soldier named Tomás is thrown among the corpses by an artillery explosion during the First World War and left for dead. An older soldier spots that he is still breathing and drags him clear. While he drifts in and out of consciousness, he has a vision of a girl calling him back to life. Six months later he works as a post-mortem photographer, offering grieving families a last photograph of their dead posed with the living. Then he comes face to face with Anna, the girl from that vision, an orphan of about ten who invites him to her Hungarian village. There the ground is frozen hard, so the many victims of the pandemic cannot be buried, and the people say the place is full of ghosts. Tomás begins work there, staying with Marcsa, the local teacher.
