Plot summary
Irma is pregnant and close to term when she asks her half-brother and the friend she calls her best to spend a weekend with her at the family's summer cabin in the woods. The three have not seen one another for a long time. At the cabin, besides the pregnancy, Irma shares something else with them: she believes she will die the next day. That date falls on the anniversary of her mother's death. Irma does not want to be alone for it. Inexplicable events keep following one another, and it looks as though something really will happen to Irma.
