Plot summary
Off the coast of Belize, the crime boss Tariq sends treasure hunter Jackson Slate down into the Great Blue Hole after a cache of Mayan gold. Jackson and two other divers set off explosives on the ocean floor, and the blast wakes a prehistoric, amphibious tyrannosaurus that attacks the dive team. Vacationing couple Rod and Jane, snorkeling with the boater Henry, spot Jackson adrift and bring him to Sarah, a marine biologist, who nurses him back to health. A gold coin found in his possession prompts questions, and Jackson tells them about his trouble with Tariq and invites them to dive for the rest of the gold. Jane stays on the island while the others return to the water.
