Plot summary
Chennai's land mafia has two rivals. Ali Bhai runs one gang from Dubai, with Guru, Logu and his girlfriend Mona handling matters in India; the other belongs to the local goon Narasimhan, and both use force and extortion to make builders and landowners hand over money or property. Mohammed Mohideen Khan arrives as the city's new police commissioner and begins a crackdown. Tamizh, a thug, beats up Logu on a contract from Narasimhan, and Logu's men chase him. Guru and Mona bring him into Ali Bhai's gang; Tamizh says he belongs to no gang and will do anything for money. At an aerobics class run by the father of his friend Saravana, he meets Shruthi, a teacher who takes him for a pervert. She lives with her mother Lakshmi and brother Pappu.
