Plot summary
New to the job, Stan Jeter joins the detective bureau in Warsaw, Indiana, and the veteran officers of the force invite him to their annual poker night. Around the table, each detective describes a murder case he worked and the insight he gained from it. After the game, an anonymous assailant seizes Stan and locks him in a basement. Amy, the daughter of a police officer, is held there with him. Stan has to draw on the stories he heard at the table to match wits against his captor and find a way for the two of them to get out.
